You always want to be on the lookout for a new product. Usually it is something that most people don’t have and want. When your boss or your potential boss walks into your home you want green lounge chairthem to remember you. Sometimes you can do this by having something they want, but don’t have yet.

How do you get these new product. Find out where the interior designers go to get their products, remember many places don’t serve the public so be prepared for a no, you can’t have that answer. Some designers may even find just one item for you, you of course would have to pay a mark up and I would recommend letting your friends know who you got it from that way you drive business to the designer and that may make them help you more later when you want the next new hot thing.

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Accessories, Kitchen Design

Many people around the world drink wine, it is good for your health and it taste good. when you design or decorate a home it is always the little things like this that matter, where do you store your wine? This may seem like a silly question but there are so many options out there from a wine fridge to a wine rack.

Today I’m going to discuss the use of a wine rack. The reason why is that they really can be an art piece along with serving a great purpose. Many can be customized to fit your decor and life style. There are racks that hang from the ceiling, ones that sit nicely on your counter, like I have, and some that are so large you need a whole other room to store them. Wine racks are very important as they keep your wine organized and looking great. Many people just put them in a cabinet but I’m sure after looking at some designer wine racks you may change your mind

Below I have a few pictures of wine racks that are sold at a wonderful website called The Vine Store. These are just the racks that stood out to me there are many more to choose from and I’m sure they will have one that will fit nicely into your home and decor. This website also offers gift certificates so don’t forget your friends, they need good accessories too.

Many people think of interior design as something that only the rich can have, but it’s not true. The everyday person can have some design elements in there own home.

Often times people don’t feel like there home is a home because they don’t know what they like, or they know what they like but are not sure how to tie it all together.

One thing you can do is decided if you are a traditional, modern or eclectic person.

If you are a traditional person, you like antiques, older furniture such as anything from the french revolution era or furniture from the 1800’s. You like tapestry’s and rugs. You hate metal and new types of furniture.

A modern person love metal and glass and all the new types of furniture and decorations. You like anything made in the 1900’s and beyond. You don’t like older furniture and would never let it in your home.

An eclectic person likes all kinds of furniture and loves mixing it up. Many people consider this a country style, but it’s not.

Once you decide what kind of person you may be you need to learn what to look for in your furniture.

For a traditional person. Look for Louie the IV type furniture or Revolution era furniture. Click here for examples
