Fill Your Lighting Needs With Elk Lighting

I am always on the lookout for new and interesting decor and I think I have found some lighting that fits very well into that category. It called elk lighting and not only are there very unique pieces but some more normal down to earth ones as well. I have picked out a few of my favorites to share with you. I have included both normal type lighting and lighting that requires more of a taste for it. I hope you enjoy these.

The first lighting fixture I have to show you is a pretty standard looking chandelier. I love this because it can work in a lot of modern homes, it’s not extravagant and many people would not even think it a chandelier, but it is. The simple design makes it unique and a great find.

The next lighting fixture I have to show you is a pendent light that is really becoming a huge deal in design, many high end homes have had these for years, but other people have just recently been seeing pendents as more then just restaurant decor.

The last fixture is a sconce that again most people would find more appropriate in a high end home or in a restaurant, but they really do work well in moderate homes and can help make a great statement by providing up-light, or just and interesting focal piece such as the one shown here.

Lighting fixtures provide more then just light, they create a mood, and set the tone for your home, If you want to appear to have more money then you do buy a nice looking lighting fixture for your entry. It will help.

Looking For Lighting Inspiration

If you are getting tired of your home and it’s very bad lighting design I have an idea for you. In these rough economic times you now have things available to you that you once did not, such as high end homes and their lighting. If you are stuck as to what do do with your home check out these homes when there is an open house. Look at how they have their lighting done and see if it will work in your home. Sometimes seeing something in real life is much different then seeing it in a magazine or a picture.

I would suggest that you try to look at homes that are similar to yours or look at homes that are the exact opposite, but something you like. Remember when you do this though that not everything you want will be able to work in your home. Some homes have really high ceilings that support a large chandelier, your home may not. So what are you waiting for? Go check out those homes.

Have you ever walked into a home with a beautiful chandelier in the entry and thought wow this person has some class and must have some money. Guess what they might have class, but they may not always have money.

People judge you by what is in your home and what it looks like. Most people can’t tell a good dollar store find from a more expensive piece and the same goes with lighting. Most of the time with lighting you do need to spend a little more then you would for artwork at the dollar store, but you don’t need to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on a priceless chandelier, unless you have that much money to waste. For good lighting check out sites online or your local retailers to see what bargains you can find.

Lighting creates a mood and a feeling that is why when you see a chandelier you think money, you see warm light you think cozy and welcoming. If you see colored lights you thing fun and funky. Remember when looking at lighting think about the room it’s going to be in, what it will be used for and what you want that light to say to someone coming into your home.
