My family has a large home and that is why I told my mother to buy a large one and a couple of small ones. Really they are not too expensive. I’m not surprised at all that these are common in Asia and Europe, they don’t have as much space available and need smaller tanks to have living space. We Americans are spoiled when it comes to space.

Tankless water heater is very common in Asia and Europe. Not new concept! It will save energy in small family household. Big family no benefit on energy saving.

Believe it or not, but they have really been around for a long time. One of my Architecture teachers told us that they had these in Europe 20 years ago when he was stationed over there. It took that long for the US to catch on.

Holly, I want to encourage you to not give up on your dream. My situation is a little different but it might help you out a little. I started an online design business selling to the trade only fabrics and wallpapers. The thing I notice in my business that has brought me return customers is that I am honest and I care about people. It really makes the difference. Yes, perserverance will pay off and if that is what you want to do just keep doing a little bit each day and you will be very successful. I really enjoyed reading your blog and wish you much success.

My sister-in-law does some staging work for a Realtor. She’d done the house her grandparent’s are trying to sell and the Realtor was impressed enough to ask her to do some others.

I think it really does depend on the designer, some only do traditional because that is what they like, I agree find a designer that fits what you are looking for or at least one that is willing to actually listen to you. It seems that so many designers think that people will do whatever they say. It’s just not true and usually these poor people hate the design in the end
