Find your dream real estate

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Real Estate, buying a home

If your looking for homes for sale, one place you should check out is realestatebook.com. They have real estate in may different areas including Detroit Michigan and Houston Real Estate. I like using them because I can compare home prices in different areas and it makes me get an idea of where I would like to move to eventually.

Finding your home is the first step in finding yourself and starting a new or continuing a good life. Once you move in you customize your home with flooring, paint and furniture. You make memories in that home that your children or grandchildren will remember. Make sure when you are looking for that first home that you don’t just settle for anything. In this market you can get what you want at a good price. Right now there are so many homes for sale that you can be picky. Remember when you buy a home from someone you are helping them right now no matter what you buy it for, so if you have been thinking about it and have the credit to do it, try to find that perfect home. Just please make sure you can really afford it.

Selling and moving

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Selling a Home

I live in Michigan, there are no jobs here and we are always getting companies from other states looking for people to move and work. My friend has spent a few days looking for land for sale Branson as she is moving to that area and wants to buy land and build a home. She has friends in the area she will be living with until it’s done.

The problem right now is that the homes here are not selling. I have told the few people I know who own homes and are trying to sell them that they need to make changes. They don’t want to. They don’t want to put that extra money into them. Right now many just want the house sold no matter how much they lose on it. Now for these people I’m not telling them to redo a kitchen or the bathroom, but updating the rusty faucet and cleaning the carpets are helpful. When selling your home you want it to look like a hotel, but a hotel that they can see themselves staying at for a long time. The best advice I have if you don’t want to put a lot of money into your home is at least make sure it is clean from top to bottom. Wipe the walls down and clean the carpets. If you do have a little extra pay someone to come in and do this right before your open house. It will help, you may not make big bucks but it should help sell your home.

The Mortgage Mess

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Real Estate

If your like me and have bad credit you are probably not going to be able to get a mortgage for a new home, but if you already have your home you may qualify for a bad credit mortgage refinance. I stress you doing this if you can because I want people to be able to stay in their homes and be able to spend there hard earned money on things they can enjoy, not just there home and heat.

Home refinance, bad credit and paying off bills are things that most people are looking at right now. So many have lived off credit and it’s all becoming such a disaster. There are many places you can get a refinance an online site you should check out is Refinance.com they offer bad credit home refinance and can give you all the information you need to start. The site itself is very easy to use and you can even use their loan calculator to find out if you can even afford the payments. Hopefully you will find you can.

If your one of the people with an adjustable rate mortgage check out your options, get your payments down if you can and try to get back on track. I know easier said then done, but with some hard work you should be able to do it.

Why you should think before going bigger

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Real Estate

I was reading a very interesting article in Metropolitan home today about how there is a crisis in our cities. People have started to buy land, rip down the old homes that were there and build huge homes that do not fit in with the surrounding neighborhood.

Picture this. You have a small bungalow home and now your neighbor has decided to tear down there home and put up a 4 story home that has 5 times the square footage of yours, blocks out all of your sun and is done in a modern style that has nothing to do with the neighborhood. Personally I would find this home tacky and apparently I am not the only one. This is happening all over the country and it’s a real problem. People want huge homes, but they want to be in the city. There are many cities effected by this. Some of them are Chicago and Dallas. These places are losing there 100 year old homes to boxy modern homes that ruin the feel of the neighborhood.

Now I don’t have a problem with bigger homes, but if your moving into a new neighborhood and are planning on building a bigger home you need to think of a few things first.

Make sure you stick with the style of the neighborhood. You can still have a good size home. Maybe you build a huge basement and keep the home to one level or one level and a half.

Don’t take up the whole lot. Many people think if I don’t want a yard I should not have one. Thats nice but maybe you should move somewhere that doesn’t have a yard already. If most of the neighborhood has a good size yard you should really consider having something there.

I think the important thing to remember is that bigger is not always better. You have to heat or cool that huge home, you have to pay to light that home at night. You have to pay to build that home and the taxes on it.

From a green living perspective I just don’t see why you would want a huge home? Unless you have a lot of kids, then I understand.

Not just in the USA

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Real Estate, Selling a Home, buying a home

I talk about Mortgages a lot on this blog. Most people who do interior design work know a lot about them and homeowners should if they do not. When I talk about mortgages I usually am talking about the ones in the united states. Other countries have them too, like Brittan and France and so on. Right now they are actually doing well in those countries and it’s a great time to buy. Check out companies that have free financing and other great perks.

On the other hand if your in those countries and looking for a home in the US now is a great time to buy. Come help us out! Really though if you do have the money check out homes in the US or in the UK. Home buying is something you can invest in. You probably don’t want to try house flipping for the first time right now though. Since you probably won’t be able to sell a home in most places, but you can buy a home for yourself and invest in the future of your family and your retirement.

Real Estate, Find the Home of your dreams

Posted by: Holly  :  Category: Real Estate

Good interior design can only happen if you love the home your in. Finding that perfect real estate is the hard part. Sometimes you go though so many that are okay or are very good. Sometimes though they just are not good enough. There is usually something missing or there is more then you need in the home.

I haven’t had the pleasure of house hunting for myself yet, but I have gone with other people and I have helped them look online, You can search for anything online like houston real estate or homes in Texas. Of course finding the right city will not help you if you can not find the right home.

The most common problem is that people can not picture themselves in the home. Either the home there looking at is empty or there is way too much stuff in it. I understand that many people don’t have the eye to see how things could be, but there is a way to work on that. If you look at the room around you, close your eyes and picture what you would like, if the room comes close to fitting into that picture, your doing well.

The thing to remember is, if the home is cheep and it’s nice on the outside you can always fix the inside. Of course you can fix the outside too if your problem is the other way around. Don’t look at a home and see it for what it is now. Look at it and see it for what it could be.
