Find The Affordable Seating You Need

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Furniture, Kitchen Design

When it comes to seating we all need it, from the business down the street looking for commercial bar stools to the home owner looking for a table that seats 20 for entertaining. We need to sit down and relax with each other, but if the seating is uncomfortable and doesn’t look good we don’t tend to stay around too long. That is where getting good quailty and looking seating comes into play.

Recently I was looking around online and found this great website affordable Seating that has really great furniture for home and business use. In fact I’m going to be recommending them to a friend of mine who is looking for a bench seat to put in her dinning room. Affordable seating carries some great restaurant booths that would work perfectly for her and her kids will love them. The price is great and she can get it in green to match the rest of the room. Another reason I’m recommending it is that she’s not very internet savvy and the site is very easy to get around and find what you need. So if your looking for some new Affordable furniture for your home, check affordable furniture out.

Countertops and Your Home

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Kitchen Design

Are you thinking of getting a new countertop? If your one of the few people who are in this market right now you want to really do some shopping, search online for local companies using search terms like minneapolis countertops or Florida wood counters. You should have an idea of the type of countertop you want. Wood or a natural stone is a great way to go, you want to research these though as there have been some health issues involved with some types of granite countertops.

If after looking online you still have not figured it out take a walk around a local home improvement store and look at what they have, then go back to the internet and find what you liked. If you don’t want to pay for shipping you can try 2 things, find coupon codes online or take the ad to your local store and see if they will price match, some right now will.

Kitchen Prep Made Easy With Kohler

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Kitchen Design

If you do a lot of cooking then you know that sometimes clean up can take much longer then the actual cooking does. Well now there is a great solution from Kohler, the Crevasse. As you can see from the photo the sink does not look like any normal sink. It’s design has a couple of great features that can help cut prep time in half. The first one is that it is an angled sink that allows you to toss in all of that excess food and waste and watch it go right down into the drain without having to push it there.

The other feature I like is that you can push one button that will cause a rush of water to be let out at one side of the sink that will push all of the left over food into the drain while also starting the garbage disposal. A quick and easy fix for cutting prep time in half.

Design your own faucet!

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Design on a budget, Interior Design Websites, Kitchen Design, fun decor

Black Custom faucetDo you want your kitchen to stand out more, but you just don’t have a ton of money to put into a kitchen redesign? Well now you can have a unique centerpiece for it without spending thousands of dollars. California Faucets offers a custom design center that allows you to choose the style of faucet that you want and select custom finishes, and handles for it.

Silver Custom FaucetThe process is simple, you go to their custom faucet website and you pick a pre-made faucet. Once you do that you are taken to the screen where you can change the faucet around. You can choose I different spout or different handles. You can also change the whole thing around if you decide you like something else. Then once you get the style figured out you can choose a finish for it and your good to go. I have a few examples of some I made on this Copper Custom Faucetpost.

I love this tool as you can also save your designs and come back for them later. When I finally move into my own home I will be using this program to buy my faucet as I really like what they have to offer. Not just the custom design, but the limited warranty that covers the finish and workmanship for 10 years. Not a bad deal.

Top 5 Kitchen Appliances

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Kitchen Design, appliances

We use kitchen appliances on a regular bases. Many people make sure that there appliances match the decor of their kitchen and that is why even just helping with appliance choice is a big job for an interior designer.

I decided to check out some of the best appliances out there and figure out what the top 5 are. So here is my list of the Top 5 Kitchen Appliances.

5. Indoor Grill, This is probably the best thing ever invented for the healthy eater. I lived in an apartment where I really couldn’t grill so this was a great alternative. I didn’t like the clean up, but they have made them much easier since then to clean.

4. Blender, You must have at least one of these in your kitchen, they just come in handy so much.

3. Espresso machine , We need our perk up in the morning and what better way to do it.

2. Slow Cookers, This is probably one on my list because I can turn it on, head to class and come home and the food is done and ready to be eaten. Who doesn’t love that

1. Heavy duty mixer, not a little hand held but the big ones. Those are the ones that work and work well. They also come in some great colors so you can leave them out on your counter and not think anything of it.

A great accessory

Posted By: Holly  //  Category: Kitchen Design, appliances

I love kitchens and would love to do kitchen design when I’m done with school. One thing that I really love to have in a kitchen are wine racks. Most people drink wine at least once a week now. It’s good for your heart and can help to relax you after a long day.

Wine racks have come a long way since the rack on the counter. Now they are small refrigerators under your counter or above in the upper cabinets. Some people have wine drawers that pull out like a spice rack. It’s really amazing where they put wine racks now. I have also found that some people are using them to store wine they use in cooking. That way it’s right where they need it instead of in a cellar or pantry.
