Spring style!

So winter is all most over and I’m sure you are as happy about it as I am. It’s time to start spending some time outside and getting some sunshine.

So today I’m going to talk about what you can do inside and outside your home to bring in some great spring style!

One thing to do is of course do some spring cleaning. Clean your windows inside and out, go through your whole house and figure out what you don’t need anymore and sell it or donate it.
Many people want to hold on to everything and this just really makes your home look cluttered and messy. Nick knacks are fine, but in moderation and not all over the room. Pick a few select spots to display things and either store the rest or get rid of them.

One great way to welcome spring is to start a garden. If you haven’t done much landscaping to your home you really should think about it. One it can increase the value of your home, and it can be very relaxing for those of you who need to de-stress. Landscaping can also help you and your neighbors in selling a home. If the home they are looking at and the homes around it have good landscaping they may decide to buy the home over another. Why would your neighbors home selling benefit you? If you get enough homes selling in one area the neighborhood value goes up. So start that landscaping! If you have no idea what do do with your home, you can either hire a landscaper or drive around and look at homes similar to yours, what have they done with the front area? What did you like, what did you not like?

The last thing I’m going to talk about is curtains, yes curtains. Why? Because changing your curtains has a huge effect on a room, it can make it darker or brighter, it can also make it taller or shorter. Since is spring think about lightening up the curtains if you have heavy dark ones. If you all ready have light curtains you should make sure there clean and free of holes. Make sure they are not dry clean only, curtain material can be very delicate and if it says dry clean only, take it to the dry cleaner.

Those are a few of my tips, I will have some more up in a few days.
