Have you ever walked into a restaurant and went WOW what happened in here? I have, sometimes it’s a good wow, like when I go into the rain forest café, sometimes though it’s oh my gosh what were they thinking. When you decide to design a room you really need to think of the wow factor if your going for a fun and funky think a Vegas hotel or your local bar. If you want something more down to earth and relaxing think of your favorite spa or park.
When you think of places you like you start to pull ideas from those that will make people who walk into your home go wow. A game room for instance that has a pool ball theme the sconces are pool balls, as is the light fixture over the table. You don’t have to use pool as a theme it can be any game. Theming a room like this makes it a fun place to be and people, including your teens will want to hang out in them for hours. That means they are under your watchful eye instead of out running around who knows where.
